Training:

Cape Town – The guys had been training with the Camps Bay Over35’s since June, but it came to an end mid Sep. Since then they have been training every Thurs & Sun on a 4 v 4 3G pitch at Weizmann School. From Jan onwards Camps Bay will reconvene and all squad members will register for the Over 35's. We are looking to get in a Biokineticst to come down to every Sun training. We also play once a week on a Wednesday beach soccer on Clifton First beach. If any of the JHB crowd are in Cape Town, we would love to have you down for the sessions. Just give me a and I'll fill you in.
JHB – I believe there is a Balfour Park over 35 team that plays every Wed, if all the guys could please come down and join that team, that I think, will be good as I believe it is on a high level. Also from there you the JHB guys can then arrange a once-a-week training session on perhaps a Sun that Warren has kindly offered to run (thanks Warren). Thanks Dan for trying to arrange training as well.

Kit:

In terms of Kit, I have sent out info that we need for the SA TEAM DELEGATION kit, which most of you have filled out and sent back. Please could those of you who haven’t yet, do so. In terms of actual playing kits, I have been shopping around for proposals for kits from UMBRO, NIKE & ADIDAS, will report back to everyone once I have a clearer indication of what the breakdown will be. I will also be looking for a sponsor for the kit so that we will not have to pay extra, which I am confident I will find.

Dates & Accommodation:

In terms of DATES, please note the following:

· Matches start on Sun 12th July, 2009
. Matches end on Wed 22nd July, 2009
· Opening Ceremony is on the 13th July, 2009
· Closing Ceremony is on the 23rd July, 2009

As far as departing JHB to Israel, I am of the understanding that there will be 2 planes leaving JHB, 1 on the 8th and 1 on the 9th July, unfortunately at this point I do not know which flight we will be on. Departing Israel, again there will be 2 flights, 1 departing on 22nd July and 1 on the 27th July, again not sure at this point which one we will be on. I am also of the understanding that each individual might be able to depart Israel when they want, only if they give enough notice to me so that I can arrange it in advance.

I have not been told where we will be staying, however I do know that currently we will be playing our matches in HAIFA (
http://www.maccabiah.com/imgs/ntext/catalog/competitionmap080908.pdf ), therefore I don’t like to, but I assume we will be staying in HAIFA.
